I am the daughter of Gordon Leigh Vaughan and Margaret Elizabeth Dozier. My Mother started researching Dozier Family when she was thirteen years old and she passed the love of genealogy on to me and I have been researching for over 57 years. I have also actively worked on my husband's McKinney family of SC and also my father's Vaughan Family of Hertford Co, NC and many other related lines. My daughter is now doing research on these families, with the Doziers primarly as a memorial for her grandmother Elizabeth Dozier Vaughan who corresponded and helped so many people with the Dozier family. March 2015- I have been very ill for a long time and I am just now getting back to my genealogy, I do have cancer and I am 79 years old , but my daughter Kaye McKinney Atkins Moors (sniktak) will be able to continue with my genealogy as she is very active in doing this when I am no longer available to do it.
