My paternal ancestors are pioneers in Arizona.

Emil Kielberg, Sr. was my great-grandfather, and his wife -my great-grandmother- was Ida Augusta Bliese Jorgensen Kielberg.

They were some of the original settlers in the Western Aravaipa Canyon, and had one of the largest ranches there, according to the BLM document about Aravaipa Canyon, 1870-1970.

Emil Kielberg, Jr. was my grandfather and Emil Kielberg III was my Dad. My Great-grandfather Kielberg bought the 16 to 1 mine from Charlie Dike in 1904, in what is now Kielberg Canyon.

My Dad's mother's family are Birkenfelds. Charles Birkenfeld was Constable of Tucson in 1906-1910, and is buried in the Pioneer Cemetery near Prescott, AZ.

I am a retired accountant, and my husband and I and a whole lot of critters live on our ranch, in the mountains of the Central Coast of California.
