My interest in Find A Grave comes from studying my Chastain family genealogy. My Dad was CPL John Herbert Chastain (1914-1972) who served in WWII with Seventh Armored Division. My Mother was Virginia Elrod Chastain of Fairmount, Gordon Co., GA.
I am a 10th generation son of Pierre Chastain, the Immigrant from France who settled in Manakintown Colony (later Virginia) in America, April 1700. Family Association.
