I am the son of the late Zeb James McDaris and was born and reared in Haywood County of North Carolina. I attended Bethel Elementary and Pisgah High schools near Canton, NC.

I married Deniece Elaine McCarson of Candler, NC on 20th of June 1970. We reared two daughters, Mary Ruth, and Elizabeth. We had one son, Zeb James McDaris, II.

Deniece and I now have 11 grand kids and enjoy living at Table Rock Baptist Camp near Pickens, SC.
