I was born in Mitchell, SD on May 14, 1967 to Paul and Connie (Knigge) Luke and raised in Kimball, SD. I graduated from Kimball High School in 1985. I attended Lake Area Vo-Tech in Watertown, SD and Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD. I graduated from Northern in December of 1991. I worked for Wall Drug Store in Wall, SD the summers of 1989, 1990, and 1991 and then full time until late 1994. I then worked for Trail King Industries in Mitchell, SD until November of 1995 when I started at South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD and have been ever since.

I am currently unmarried and live in Arlington, SD. I also have an older brother, Gary.
