Many people these days think of barbeques, beer, and a three day weekend when they think of Memorial Day. Not me- because on Memorial Day my parents forced me to go to cemeteries with them (one after another & all day long). At the time I thought it was awful and unfair that while my friends had fun events planned I had to visit dead people. Looking back, I'm thankful for all those cemetery visits. I'm thankful that I know who I am and who I come from!
But there was always a gap -a missing link- because no one knew much about my Grandfather's paternal family. I was very close to my Grandfather and having no answers to my questions about him has always bothered me! So I started researching my Grandfather's family about two years ago. I've learned many things about my family and every new detail I learn gives me the strangest feeling- a feeling that I can't describe but one that I like! :)
I wonder who these people were and why they've been forgotten! I want to find them and include their names on my family tree!
