EDITS TO MEMORIALS

❤ I strive for accuracy, so if you find discrepancies on any of the memorials I manage, please let me know! It would be helpful to include the source of your information along with your edit. If I am unable to verify the edit, I may reach out to you for further information. ❤

OBITUARIES

I enjoy adding obituaries to older memorial pages. I add them as photos, though I understand some managers prefer them transcribed and placed in the "bio" section instead. While I do sometimes transcribe the obituaries I add, they are also attached in their original format as well. A benefit to attaching the original obituary clipping is having it available for reference, especially if you think a mistake may have been made during transcription or if the transcriber intentionally excluded information. Additionally, now that Find a Grave has made every other piece of information in a memorial editable by anyone and to be auto-accepted if one is not regularly online, the presence of an obituary clipping (or any other graphic) is the only information that can't potentially be altered. Ultimately, having an obituary included on a memorial page, in any form, is helpful for people searching for information.
