Bio

I have a greas love for genealogy and have been researching since I was in seventh grade. My dad and grandparents were great story tellers and left me with a rich history of our family. My grandparents were of Germam, English, Swedish, Danish and French Canadian orgin. The German ancestoirs arrived in this country in 1844. The English line can be traced to William White of the Mayflower crossing and to Kent, England. I married a full-blooded Irishman with a Polish name as he was adopted. I guess that makes my children, grandchildren and great-grandchild of "Heinz 57" orgin or "Dukes mixture", as my parents would say.

I am now a widow (2002), at a much younger age than I would have liked, but life goes on. My Husband and I were married 39 1/2 years and we had a son and a daughter and four grandaughters. He never had a chance to meet our two grandsons, the youngest granddaughter, or his two great-grand daughters.

We are a Navy family. My husband served five years, I served 22y 4m and my son 10yrs. We are all proud of our service to this great country.

I graduated from Henderson County Jr. College, attended Tyler Jr. College and graduated with a Degree in Nursing and in Science from the Univeristy of Texas.

I love genealogy, photography and traveling. I belong to a single group; LoW's, Loaners on Wheels, which affords me a chance to do all my hobbies and the companinship of other singles.

The photgraphs on the Chandler Memorial Cemetery we taken by myself and Doug Crabtree. This project was one of love for the families buried there and a passion to preserve the past. Doug and I both in live Chandler and are members of the East Texas Genealogical Society.

I am researching the following families.
Bischoff/Bishop -m- Wessling; Brooks -m- Sturtevant; Nelson -m- Jasperson; Cronk -m- Persian; Grochowski -m- Jaroszewska; Bolik/Ball -m- Wisniewska; Pope -m- Kyser; Wright -m- Scarbrough; Mitchell -m- Riner; Smith -m- Spivey; Farrier -m- Gowell.
