Bio

Born and raised in NJ but I now live in Virginia. Hobbies- History and Genealogy for over 50 years.
Some of the names I'm searching are: Errickson, Anderson, McDowell,Dean,VanNote, Stillwell, Conover, Francis, Mathews/Matthews, Reynolds,Throckmorton, Woolley, Jackson,Lippencott,Havens,Sutphen,Barkalow,Bennet/Bennett, Boud,Thompson, Almy,Leonard, Morford, Cox, White and many, many more.My roots have been in this country since the 1600's. There have been both Torries and Ardent Patriots.Recently my children have asked me to trace their Paternal side.Therefore I'm adding Tyrpak, Terpack, Terpack,Holowacz, Holovak, Langer, Lange, Kuhlmann, and Plewnia to the names I'm searching.
I'm delighted that I have found this site so that I can pass on some of the info to others who are searching and hope others will do likewise.
Favorite Cemeteries--Old Tennent and Adelphia, tho I have searched cemeteries all over NJ.
Favorite areas Howell Twps,( Especially Adelphia and Ardena) Freehold Twps. ( Jackson Mills Road area, including Georgia)

I now live in Virginia. Since moving here, I have been actively seeking early Virginia history.There is a wealth of early history in my local area that has not been written.I have been prowling the woods for old homesteads and graves.
My neighbor, Larry Newcomb, and I, have been finding and photographing old burial grounds as well as individual graves in the middle of nowhere.
