Losing the love of my life, My Husband Michael Anthony Duran, brought me here to FindAGrave.
Mike and i were together for 20 years when he left me. He was only 38 yrs old. Our life had really just begun!!!! We were young, just moved into our new home, we had grandbabies on the way, We had SO much to look forward to :( He was my best friend! He was the one and ONLY man i have ever loved in my life! We were as he liked to call us "High School Sweethearts" I don't even know who i am without him! I spent more of my life WITH HIM than without him! I couldn't believe he was gone! I was in total shock, completely numb, and so very VERY lost without him. I was devastated to say the least. That sent me on a journey to find grief/support groups for widows. In my journey someone recommended FindAGrave and i couldn't be more thankful! Building my Husbands memorial page, and having the ability to leave him notes and tokens of love have helped me TREMENDOUSLY! Also, joining the discussion forums and meeting some really nice people who are also going through the grieving process has helped greatly! It has taught me that I am NOT alone, and everything i have been thinking and feeling are NORMAL! Maybe JUST MAYBE i will make it through this after all. So, FindAGrave has been a blessing to say the least! Maybe Mike lead me here.... maybe?
