Bio

I am just a retired (80 year old) guy who since 1989 has been into genealogy which of course takes one to many cemeteries.

To date I have found and verified 12 Revolutionary War Ancestors for which I have located most of the cemeteries where they are interned and visited some.

I also have a civil war ancestor (Buried, Granville City Cemetery, Granville, IL).

My namesake and Rev War Ancestor, William Gage (1744-1820)is buried in the Stoney Creek Cemetery,Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

In May of last year the Local "Upper Canada of DAR" dedicated a DAR Marker honoring him as a "Revolutionary War Soldier and a Canadian Pioneer". In attendance along with my wife and daughter(8th Gen) was the then President General of the NASDAR.

Both my wife and I are still at it, she more then I, and she is the current Regent of her DAR chapter who spends a great part of her time assisting new members w/ their ancestor applications.

Tragically I also have several family ancestors interned in the Grandview Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendale CA,which has been closed since early last year to visitors except for some limited weekend visits and has been in litigation since the death of the owner. One is wife of the above mentioned Civil War ancestor.
