Bio

I have been doing geneology research for 46 years. I am retired from the Air Force and a member of the DUV and DAR. My roots go back to First White Settlers in Bloom Township, First Families of Wood County, and Ohio. My research mainly consists of Apple, Frederick, Hampshire, Swope, Bossler, Leathers, Smalley, Emerson, Adams, Dustman and Rader families mostly located in Wood, Hancock, Wyandot and Seneca counties in northwest Ohio. I am the 6th generation of Leathers' to own the property that was acquired by Jacob Leathers in 1833. The info I post on FAG is backed up by death certificates or obituaries. Many of my ancestors served with the Union army in the civil war. Also researching my husband's roots in Italy to NY and NJ. His maternal ancestors fought for the confederacy in the civil war. I have helped many people with their geneology and I like the challenges of researching pasts when very little info is known.
