Retired Paralegal extremely interested in any and all family-related history to present and hopefully leads to finding any of my paternal family. I have zillions of maternal relatives and not one CARTER. My Dad, who passed in 1965, was it. To my knowledge my dad, Joseph Carter, was born to George and Rochelle Carter in an unknown city in North Carolina on January 20, 1898. Allegedly Armstead (sp?) and Robert were Joseph's brothers. My Dad always told me that he ran away alone at the age of 19 and never looked back or contacted any family or friends.

I lost my Dad at the age of 16 so after searching for Carters for 50 years I need to hear something for somebody please.

Any possible relatives of Joseph, Armistead (or Armstead), Robert, George or Rochelle Carter out there?
