I was born in Rosiclare, Hardin Co., IL. in 1953. Both of my parents, Delmar Earl McClanahan and Verma Lorene Bebout, were from Pope Co., IL. My father was a farmer, like his father and his grandfather before him. My mother was a homemaker. During my childhood we moved north, like alot of folks did in order to make a living. My father passed away when I was 7 yrs. old, May 1961 in McHenry Co., IL. We then moved to Kane Co., IL. My mother married again to Conrad Eugene Knakmuhs, in Dec. 1964. After I graduated from Batavia High School in 1971, I went to work for the telephone company. It was then, I moved to Elgin, IL. I married, Barbara Jane Lorang, who was from Elgin, in 1975. We have a son, Timothy Paul McClanahan, he was born in 1978, in Elgin, IL. My mother passed away in Jan. 1991, in Evansville, IN. Timothy was married in 2003, to Nicole Danielle Aguiniga. And Conrad passed away in Apr. 2007 in Marion, IL.
