Married Virginia Reiber in August of 1988. Between them they have four children; Gregory, Michelle, Justin, & Jennifer. As of this date January 2010, they also have four grandchildren; Crystal, Jessica, Jacob, Alexander, and Jennifer has one on the way, due in May.

Retired from Commercial Creamery, Spokane, Washington as a long distance truck driver.

Jim & Virginia are both active members of the Cheney Second Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
