Bio

I retired from teaching school in 2011 giving me all the time I need to follow my passion - genealogy. I began researching my family when I was in college as part of an English composition assignment. Little did I know that one simple assignment would develop into a life long journey through cemeteries, courthouses and libraries. For over 35 years I've pieced together a fairly comprehensive history of my family to leave as a legacy to my niece, nephews, son and grandson including historical events of their time and how they may have influenced the family.

When I'm not researching you'll find me with a good book, in the kitchen cooking, or out photographing anything and everything.

My love of history, family research and photography combined with my love of writing has inspired me to bring the whole thing together in the form of a book I hope to publish one day.
