The members of the Rose Hill Remembers Committee worked together to present a cemetery walk through Rose Hill Cemetery. We chose a representation of our towns citizens that are buried at Rose Hill and after researching their lives wrote scripts for local actors to present at the grave sites.
Our candlelit tours were well recieved by Grundy Center and we learned a lot about the history of our town.
Because we want everyone who's buried in our cemetery to be remembered we are transcribing the records of Vernie Jontz to FIND A GRAVE.
Vernie has kept an index card on each person buried at Rose Hill, Fairview, and Sacred Heart Cemeteries.
These three cemeteries are adjacent without fences or signs to keep them separate. While we've made notes to specify which cemetery each person lies in, we've placed everyone under the same general heading of Rose Hill Cemetery.
