Viola had two brothers. Joseph Thomas born 15 Jan 1891 in Leadville, Colorado, USA. Died Jul 1965 in Michigan, USA Orville was born 23 Mar 1901 in Delamar, Nevada. Died 25 Dec 1973 in Murfreesboro, Rutherford, Tennessee. His body was shipped to Michigan where he was buried.

Her father, Thomas, was a miner. The story was Thomas, Mary, Joseph and Viola left Leadville, Colorado by covered wagon, had a stay in Nevada where brother Orville was born and moved on to Arizona about 1912. Before 1930 Grandma and Grandpa, John Ford, moved to California by automobile.
