Anne was born in 1913, the 3rd child in a family of 14 born to George and Efrosina Staruiala. She attended Markinch School. Anne married Sam "Sava" Bogdan of Barnwell, Alberta in 1935. They lived at Barnwell on their sugar-beet farm where their 2 children were born.
They sold their farm in 1942 and bought a home in Taber, Alberta where their children grew up. Anne had a busy life working at home and several jobs in the community. She also found time to work for her church, and local fraternal and political organizations, and enjoyed it all.
Anne was predeceased by her husband Sam and son Stevan, and survived by her daughter.
