Born in Henrietta, Okla. to Virgil and Ora Bell Woodward. He moved to Portland when he was 14. He served in the U.S. Navy, and was married to Dorothy Perkins for 56 years. She preceded him in death. Mr. Woodward was employed as a police officer in Modesto, Calif. Upon returning to Portland, he owned Woodward Investigations before retiring. Survivors include his two daughters, Jacalyn Evans and Barbara Thomas; four grandchildren, and two great grandsons. Remembrances to charities.
