Mrs. Mary Tyson Hembree, 87, of Ithica Gin Road, Villa Rica, died Friday, March 5, 2010 at Tanner Medical Center, Villa Rica, GA.
She was born in Carroll County, on December 12, 1922, the daughter of the late William David(Will D.)Tyson and the late Ruby Mae Smith Tyson .
After graduating from high school, she attended a technical school in Atlanta and worked for Rich's while she was in school. After receiving her degree, she took a job with A & P, and worked until she returned home to help with family obligations. She was a devoted homemaker, wife and mother, was a seamstress.
She was a member of the Flat Rock Baptist Church for her entire life, serving for many years as church clerk, teacher, and member of the church choir. In recent years, she continued as a faithful member of the Ladies Adult Sunday School Class.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Horace Wayne Tyson.
