Lewis Edward Campbell, 82, of Frankford, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at the Brier Nursing Home following a long illness.

Born October 26, 1927, he was the son of the late Carl and Letha Campbell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Lee; step-father, Tommy Bryant; maternal grandparents, Arthur and Lula Ingram; and several aunts and uncles.

Lewis worked for building contractor, Dan Boone, the C&O Railroad, Maxwelton Manufacturing and as a Greenbrier County Deputy Tax Assessor. He was a member of the Emmanuel Open Bible Church where he was Superintendent for 50 years and was also a member of the Senior Circle. He was loved by all and will be missed by many friends and family.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Helen; son, Charles Campbell; a sister, Trudy Bryant of Florida; daughter-in-law, Sharon Adams and husband, Orbie of Maryland; grandsons, Doug Yates and JP Yates and wife, Emmy of Maryland and Tommy Yates of Florida; granddaughters, Dawn Meriman and husband, Matthew of Lewisburg and Jackie Windale of Maryland; great-grandchildren, Austin and Dylan of Florida, Ethan of Maryland and Maggie and Cassidy of Lewisburg; and two aunts, Mae Webb of White Sulphur Springs and Eva Mae Holesapple of Anthony.
