A native of Kingsport, Tenn., she was a daughter of the late Hugh Veron Taylor and Lottie Taylor Hughes. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Clyde S. Cooper; a son, Robert E. Clark of Chesnee; a nephew who was reared in the home, PFC Jeffrey Putnam of Fort Benning, Ga.; two sisters, Margaret Roland of Morganton, N.C., and Rose Davis of Marion, N.C.; three brothers, Larry and Lucky Hunley, both of Hickory, N.C., and J.R. Hunley of Marion, N.C.; two grandchildren and several special nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7-9 at Eggers Funeral Home in Chesnee. Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Roy Howell. Burial will be in Hicks Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ross Hunley, Kenneth Thompson, Kevin Roper, Frank Roland, Jeff Putnam and Roy Cooper.
The family is at the home.
