John O. Yeaman, a long time resident of Clark's Hill, died Saturday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Laferty. Death was caused by a compilation of diseases. He was a veteran of the civil war and served with the 1st Illinois cavalry, for four years. Mr. Yeaman had resided in Clark's Hill for many years and was held in high esteem. He was 80 years old. Funeral services were conducted from the Clark's Hill M. E. church Monday afternoon. Rev. Charles Woody officiated and the interment in the Clark's Hill cemetery was in charge of Miller Lodge No. 138 F&AM.
