Margaret Anne (Putman) Forte Margaret Anne (Putman) Forte, 92, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2012. She was born June 5, 1920 in Charlotte, Michigan to Clifford E. and Celeste (Wilson) LeRoy. She resided in Charlotte until she moved to Greenville in 1988. Margaret Anne worked with her husband Raymond at their small grocery store in Charlotte and in Mason at their business, The Shopping Guide. She also worked as a secretary for Charlotte Public Schools and as a bookkeeper for her son-in-law's veterinary practice. Her hobbies were knitting and reading. She traveled extensively and enjoyed a number of retirement years in Florida. Margaret Anne was preceded in death by her parents; first husband of 33 years, Raymond L. Putman; second husband, Dan Forte; and aunt, Jane Elizabeth (Wilson) Kleiver. Survivors include three devoted daughters, Pam Beadle of Lansing, Jan (Chuck) Grundstrom of Charlotte, and Barb (Randy) Carpenter of Greenville; six loving grandchildren, Margaret (Bob) Holycross of South Lyon, MI, Eric Grundstrom (Steve Beard) of Tampa, FL, Sarah (Adam) Razik of Los Angeles, CA, Kathryn (Jason) Sutphen of Wayland, MI, Kristin (Erik) Fransen of Glen Ellyn, IL, and Ryan Carpenter of Lansing; two precious great-grandchildren, Nick and Hannah Holycross; step-son, John (Carole) Forte; sister-in-law, Veta Souchek, niece, Pam Zorn, nephew, John Forte; special friend, Gordon Ross; many loyal friends; and her cat, Shadow. Her family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff and volunteers at Eaton Community Palliative Care for their kind and compassionate care. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the First Congregational Church, 126 E. Cass St., Greenville, with Rev. Dr. Jerrold T. Jones officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Hurst Funeral Home, 1801 W. Washington St. (M-57), Greenville. Interment will be in Maple Cemetery in Charlotte. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Margaret Anne's memory may be made to the First Congregational Church of Greenville's Parish Nurse Fund or to Eaton Community Palliative Care, 2675 S.
