Charlotte Ann Sterczala was born at home on 5 Summer Street, Webster, Massachusetts on October 29, 1953. She was the youngest of six children.
She was a 1972 graduate of Bartlett High School. Later she graduated from Fisher College and Quinebaug Valley Community-Technical College.

Charlotte was a nurse's aide for many years at Webster Manor and Lanessa nursing homes. She was often known as "Charlie".

She had a love for animals. She had many cats and dogs over the years. Her favorite dogs were Benji and Princess who were both rescued. Her favorite cats were Suzy and Onyx. Charlotte was a member of the Quinebaug Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Charlotte's last full day was spent at the Woodstock Fair in Woodstock, CT. She went straight for the bandstands when arriving at the fair. She listened to the bands and had a good time.

That night she had sudden heart failure. She passed away at UMASS.

She is missed by many people.

She was predeceased by her brothers Arthur Maynard and Thomas Sterczala. She leaves her sister Ellen; brothers James and William; nieces Christine, Deborah, Karen, Sharon, Linda, and Lisa; and nephews Arthur, Kevin, and Keith.
