Emerson F. “Jim” Heiland, 76, a retired mechanic and carpenter, died Friday, March 25, 1978, in Marrow Memorial Hospital at Auburodale, Fla. Born at Delphi, he lived at Lafayette and Attica before moving to Florida,
where he resided at Winter Haven. He was educated in the Lafayette schools.
In 1922 he was married to Eva Irene Johnson who survives. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He was a member of the Christian Church and American Legion. Services were Tuesday at Lafayette with burial in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
