Born June 5, 1893 in Germany Valley, Shirley Township, he was the son of William W. and Ella (Bollinger) Wilson. He was united in marriage to Florence M. Smyers on November 22, 1953 at the Washington Square Methodist Church, Hagerstown, Md. She preceded him in death in 1976.
He is survived by two sisters: Mrs. Carrie Rummel of Mount Union and Florence Wilson of Lewistown.
He was a member of the First Methodist Church, Mount Union.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War I and after his military service he was employed until retirement with the Atlantic Richfield Oil Co.
He attended Juniata College and taught school in the area for several years.
He was also a member of the Simpson-Hunt Post No. 107, American Legion of Mount Union.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 7, at 2 p.m. at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, with the Rev. David B. Reams officiating. Interment will be made in the Mount Union IOOF Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home this evening from 7 to 9 and Saturday from 9 a.m. until the hour of the services.
