Allen D. Wagner October 5, 1955 - October 1, 2012 Friends and family will gather at Valley Baptist Church, 4800 Fruitvale Avenue at 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 to celebrate the life and legacy of Al Wagner, long-time champion of the poor, community organizer, political strategist, public servant, committed Christian missionary and loving son, brother, uncle and friend. Al is survived by his strong and loving mother, Mildred Riblett; by his sister Thelma Wagner, his three brothers, Doug Wagner (Tammie), Tim Riblett (Kathy), and Jerry Hobbs, his niece Renee Wagner, nephews Brad (Sonia) and Steve (Jennifer) and niece Tonya Jaspar. Al is also survived by many close friends, neighbors and political/business associates. Al's family and friends ask that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Valley Baptist Church Mission Fund in order that Al's lifework and legacy can continue.
