Mrs. Virginia Ruth Marlow Dayvault, 58, of Kannapolis, died Saturday, at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held at North Kannapolis United Methodist Church. Burial followed at Carolina Memorial Park.
Mrs. Dayvault was born Sept. 16, 1927 in Rowan County. She was the daughter of Matthew E. Marlow and Lula Mae Patterson Marlow of Kannapolis. She was employed in the Cannon Mills, Plant 1, Sheet Department. Mrs. Dayvault was a member of North Kannapolis United Methodist Church where she was a life member of the United Methodist Women, a former Sunday School teacher, a member of the Lucky Double Club and the Mollie Marshall Circle. She was a lifetime resident of Kannapolis.
In addition to her parents, survivors include her husband, J. Harold Dayvault; a son, Scott H. Dayvault of Charlotte; a daughter, Mrs. Judy Goodman (Gary) of Landis; two brothers, Kenneth L. Marlow of Greensboro and Cecil M. Marlow of Kannapolis; two grandchildren, Leslie and Stacey Goodman.
