Mrs. Helen E. Truitt, 83, died at the home of her son, John, with whom she had recently resided. Born July 10, 1901 to Thomas P. and Sarah Serrage McEnroe, she married Adrian E. Truitt on July 7, 1922, in Peoria, at St. Mary's Cathedral. He died December 24, 1980. Surviving are four sons, Donald of Wilmington, CA, Eugene of Torrance, CA, John and Charles of Peoria, and one daughter, Mrs. Larry (Regina) Tilton, of Amarillo, TX; one brother, Thomas Patrick McEnroe of Tempe, Arizona, one sister, Mrs. Agnes McDonald of Amarillo, TX; 17 Grandchildren, and 10 Great Grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her husband, two sons, two daughters, her parents and one brother and one sister. She was a devout member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Peoria. Loving Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and loyal friend, she will be missed by all who knew her. Helen loved Johnny Carson and talk radio along with soap operas, which delighted her Grandchildren. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Peoria.
