June Evelyn Flewellen, age 67, of Rover, AR died Friday, July 3, 1998 at the Yell County Nursing Home in Ola, AR. She was born June 19, 1931 in Altus, AR the daughter of the late John W. and Willie I. Barker Hooker. She was a homemaker, cook and a member of the Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Euleane Faye Flewellen; a brother, John Doyle Hooker; and two sisters, Doris Goodwin and Elizabeth Hooker.

She is survived by her husband, John Flewellen; one son, John Curtis Flewellen of Lawton, OK; three daughters, Marie O'Bar and Alline Hixon of Perryville and Joyce Harris of Plainview, AR; three brothers, James Hooker of Ft. Smith, Cecil Hooker of Russellville and Billy Ray Hooker of California; one sister, Hazel Harold of California; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was Monday at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle, AR by the Rev. Frankie Harris. Burial was in the Carter Cemetery in Danville by Cornwell Funeral Home. Pallbearers were grandsons, Gary Don Brothers, James M. Charles and Steven Harris and Michael Allen Hixon.
