John Henry Flewellen, age 74, of Rover, AR died Sunday, August 1, 1999 at the Yell County Nursing Home in Ola, AR. He was born May 12, 1925 in Brushy Creek, Yell County, Arkansas to the late Curtis Euel and Helen May Lyons Flewellen. He was a retired construction worker and auto mechanic and a WWII Navy Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife, June Flewellen; one daughter, Euleane Faye Flewellen and one sister, Willie Mae Foster.

Survivors include one son, John Flewellen of Lawton, OK; three daughters, Joyce Harris of Plainview, AR, Marie O'Bar and Alline Hixon both of Perryville, Ar; three brothers, Wayne Flewellen of Perryville, AR, Jess Flewellen of Lodi, CA and Ollie Flewellen of Perryville, AR; six sisters, Joyce Hubbard of Devalls Bluff, AR, Evelyn Young of Plainview, AR, Imogene James of Hot Springs, AR, Ruth Campbell of Benton, AR, Ruby Etzberger and Lorene Melton both of Perryville, AR; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were August 5, 1999 at the Cornwell Chapel in Danville with Rev. Buddy Wroten officiating. Interment was in Carter Cove Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville, AR. Pallbearers were Steven Harris, Charles Harris, James Harris, Wesley Harris, Jason Harris and Albert Higman.
