Bounds, Virgie Mae – age 96 of Knoxville went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 24, 2012, at home where she loved to be surrounded by her family. She was a charter member and the oldest member of Pratt's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband of 32 years, Jim Bounds; son, Everett; and grandchildren, Connie, Tyler, and Travis; and many sisters and brothers. Survived by brother, Jack Pratt; children, Herb (Linda) Bounds, Sissy (Bob) Perry, John (Penny) Bounds, Stella Bounds, Becky Creswell, and Jimmy Bounds; grandchildren, Vickie, Monte, Tommy, Gary, Herbie, Patti, Michael, Shelia, Kim, Cindy, Tammie, Freddy, April, Stacey; great-grandchildren, Nicole, Lori, Kelly, Garrett, T.J., Stephanie, Cody, Kelsey, Timothy, Chris, B.J., Kayla, Brigitte, Emmalee, Karlie, and Keelie; great-great-grandchildren, Addison, Jackson, Summer, Logan, Brayden, Tamera, and Hunter. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Thursday, September 27, 2012, at Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Zavattieri, Rev. W.C. Browning, and Rev. Stanley Carpenter officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM on Friday at Union Cemetery for an 11:00 AM interment. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday at Bridges Funeral Home, 5430 Rutledge Pike, 865-523-4999.
