Emmett P. Clore
A funeral service for Emmett Pratt Clore, 60, of Stafford, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Wheeler and Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Clore Hill Cemetery, Spotsylvania. The Rev. William E, Jeffcoat will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Bradford C. Clore, James E. Clore, Charles H. Jackson, James W. Prenatt, William Gracik and Robert L. Thomas.
Mr. Clore, known to his many citizen band radio friends as "Ham Sandwich," was a carpenter for Westinghouse Corp., and a former employee of J&J Appliance and the FMC Corp.
He was a member of the Stafford Ruritan Club, the Fredericksburg Moose Club, and Round Hill Hunt Club in King George. He died Monday at Capitol Hill Hospital in Washington.
The son of the late Irvin C Clore, Sr and Elsie Byrd Jones Clore, Mr. Clore is survived by his wife,FrancesAntonette Chisari Clore; two sons, Bradford C. Clore of Fredericksburg and James E. Clore of Hartwood; one daughter, Miss Nina Marie Clore, of Fredericksburg, the mother of his children and his first wife, Doris Elizabeth Hudson Clore of Fredericksburg; one brother, Elmer Lee Clore of Mary Esther, Fla.; two sisters, Lacy Mae Clore Smith of Spotsylvania and Mrs. Lucy C. Bowler of Fredericksburg; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight and Thursday from 7 to 8:630 p.m. at Wheeler and Thompson Funeral Home.
