Donald R. Sellars died Sept. 21, 2012 at his home in Meridian following a long battle with cancer. He was born on Nov. 19, 1923 to John and Eileen Sellars in Callaway, Neb., where he was raised with 11 siblings. From 1943 - 1946, he served in the U.S. Army as a Medic during WWII. He returned to Neb. to marry Wylia Lee Beckwith (Becky", the love of his life for 65 years. They had two daughters, Pamela Jo and Patsy Lee. They moved to Boise in 1953. Dad was a man of multiple talents. He owned and operated an automotive body shop, was an accomplished carpenter, cabinet maker, and general building contractor. He built several homes and business offices in the Boise area. After retiring in 1990, they moved to Garden Valley, where Dad and Mom built their dream home on three acres. On June 30, 2011 Mom passed away but we are now comforted knowing that they are together forever in heaven. Donald is survived by daughters, Pamela Gratton, Patricia Sellars; four granddaughters, nine great grandchildren; brother J'Dee Sellars; and sister, Pat Kenyon. On Sept. 15, 2012 Dad's youngest brother, Roger Sellars, passed away. A funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012 at Cloverdale Funeral Home.
