Lena was a daughter of Turner Taylor & Mary Ann Millar. She married John James Stephenson Nov 17, 1886 in Northampton Co., NC. In the 1910 census she was recorded as having had 9 children born with 8 living and all 8 were enumerated with Lena & John: Mollie Millar, Eula Mae, Ina Claire, Nina Beatrice, Turner Taylor, Paul Dwight, Henry Lewis & Eunice Blanche.
