Elsie Louise Marie (née Allen) Walsh, 94, passed away peacefully in her sleep, on Thursday, March 11, 2010, at her daughter's home in Berlin, Maryland.
Elsie was born in Bayonne, New Jersey and lived most of her life in Roselle NJ, where she was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. Elsie then moved to Toms River NJ, where she resided until moving to Wanamassa NJ.
She was employed at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Elizabeth NJ until she retired.
Elsie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She cherished every day and lived her life to the fullest. Elsie always had a smile on her face, a twinkle in her eye, and a thank you for everything anyone ever did for her. Mom was always "Irish Lace Curtain".
Predeceased by her husband, Peter J. Walsh; and her son, Donald M. Walsh, she was survived by her son, Peter J. Walsh (& his wife Yvonne) of N. Brunswick NJ; her daughter, Patricia Addy (& her husband Gordon) of Berlin MD; her daughter, Maureen C. Walsh of Wanamassa NJ; her grandchildren, Kimberly Carlson, Koller Walsh, Peter and Danielle Walsh, Jennifer Walsh, Kelly Hallam; and her great-grandchildren, Brennan Walsh and his mother Catherine, McKenna Carlson and her father Craig, Kyleigh Chase and Ryan Hallam and their father Lance. Elsie was also survived by her two sisters, Maryann Holinda and Joan Knight; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends in her large and extended family.
