Michael Dwayne Tuttle, 45, Kokomo, passed away at 2:47 a.m. Saturday Sept.15, 2012. He was born Dec. 7, 1966, in Nashville, Tenn., to the late Odell and Erma (Piper Pruitt) Tuttle. On March 6, 1993, he married Debra (Harper) Tuttle, who survives.

He attended East High School in Nashville Tenn., and in 1994 moved to Kokomo.

Over the years he has been employed at Richard’s Restaurant, Olive Garden, Crossman Construction, Jeff Way Car Wash, Shoney’s Restaurant, and Golden Corral. He was also a newspaper carrier for the Kokomo Tribune for 12 years.

Michael was known as Mike to most here in Kokomo and as Dwayne to family and close friends. He was known to make the best steak at the Corral, something he was very proud of. He was exceptionally proud of all his children and never ceased to tell anyone just how proud he was. He loved being a father but he loved being a Papaw even more. His greatest joy was taking them on "doggie walks" as much as possible. He never met a stranger and would do anything for anyone. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Tuttle; children, Marrissa D. Tuttle, Jeffrey L. (Keanna Snow) Arwood, Michael Bratton, Edward R. (Alycia Walker) Bratton, and Renee N. (Brian) Hopkins; grandchildren, Annakiah Arwood, Landen Bratton, Joseph Abresch, Kalib Abresch, Haylei Walker, Makinsey Bratton, Gavin Hopkins, and Danielle Hopkins; a sister, Marie (Danny) Goad; a sister-In-law, Angela Harper; niece and nephews, Dana Winfrey, David Winfrey, and Scott Harper; also one great-nephew and two great-nieces.

He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Stephanie L. Bratton.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory, Lincoln Road Chapel, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, with Pastor Paul Enochs officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
