MORPHONIOS ELLEN JAMES, 73, died Sunday morning, December 22, 2002, gloriously going home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Beloved mother of Dale and Dean Morphonios and retired Circuit Court Judge and Prosecuter. Born September 30, 1929, Ponzer, North Carolina. Former resident of Norfolk, Virginia. Resident of Miami, Florida since 1946. Graduate of Miami Edison High School and the University of Miami Law School. Former model, Faithful friend, and Public Servant to the People of Dade County and the City that she loved called Miami. She is survived by sons, Dale James Morphonios and Dean Barry Morphonios; her daughters-in-law, Martica Monsalve Morphonios and Susan Diana Morphonios; four beloved grandchildren, Jake Rondle Morphonios, Jade Reagan Morphonios, Kimberly Anne Morphonios and Matthew James Morphonios; and three great grandchildren, Jacob Morphonios, Joseph Morphonios and Sarah Ellen Morphonios. Burial will be in Belhaven, North Carolina. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 26, at 12 Noon at Grace Church of Kendall located at 8100 S.W. 104 St., Miami, Florida (305) 274-3400.
