She passed away with her daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Morrie Riggs, Sunday, July 7, 2002, the result of an automobile accident in Collins, MO.
She came to Kansas City in 1929 and lived in the KC-Raytown area until 1968. She then moved to Louisburg, KS and lived there until 1980, when she moved to Overland Park, KS. In 1981 she moved back to Louisburg and made her home with her son and his wife until her death. She was the wife of the late John C. Kelly, who preceded her in death in 1972.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Merilyn Kelly; five grandchildren and their spouses, Mike and Debbie Kelly, Naperville, IL, Fletch and Judy Kelly, LaCygne, KS, Chris and Cheryl Kelly, Louisburg, KS, Kelly and Carole DeVaul, Olathe, KS and Mary Matalone, Liberty, MO; as well as eight grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.
