Edith (Smith) Bryan a resident of Albany, Oklahoma passed from this life in Durant, Oklahoma on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at the age of 89 years 6 months and 25 days. She was born in Albany, Oklahoma on Saturday, February 17, 1923 to Walter N. and Nettie L. (Barr) Smith.

Edith was a member of the Albany Baptist Church. She dedicated herself to caring for her family as a stay at home mom. Edith was lovingly know as "Lady Smith" by those in her community and refered to as "Aunt Lady" by her family.

Mrs. Bryan is survived by her daughters, Glenda Robertson and husband Gene of Albany, Oklahoma and Linda Medina and husband Louis of Oak Creek, Wisconsin; grandchildren, 4; great-grandchildren, 18; great-great-grandchild, 1; brother, Wendell (Preacher) Smith and wife Jean of Albany, Oklahoma; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Mrs. Bryan was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Nettie Smith; husbands, G.T. Conditt and William Perry Bryan; granddaughter, Twyla Mae Beames; grandson, James R. Beames; step-grandson, Thomas W. Robertson; sisters, Baby, Laura, Wanda and Patsy Smith; brothers, Veachel, Claude, Ray, LeeRoy, Raymond Leo and Jerry Smith.

Family Hour from 7-8:00 P.M. on Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. Graveside Services held at 11:00 A.M on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the Albany Cemetery with Rev. Jackie Robinson officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Rick Steward, Bobby Large, Pete Smith, Terry Smith, James Eide and Paul Stanford. Honorary pallbearer will be Jimmy Smith.
