Nellie Midgett Farrow, 99, of Waves died on Monday, Feb. 20, in a Nags Head nursing home.
A native of Waves, she was the daughter of the late Zion S. and Lucretia Midgett, and was also preceded in death by five older brothers.
She was a member of the Fair Haven United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, a member of the Democratic Party, a long-time election judge, and an avid crossword puzzle worker.
Surviving are a daughter, Jackie F. Wenberg and husband, Ken of Waves; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Community Building in Rodanthe on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jim Bliss officiating. Burial will be in the Waves Community Cemetery.
