Bruce, Leonard R. born April 3, 1925 in Knoxville and passed away Monday, September 10, 2012 at Physicians Regional Medical Center. He was a graduate of Knoxville High School in 1943 and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. Retired from South Central Bell Telephone Company. Member of Lincoln Park Baptist Church for over 65 years. He was a 50 year member of Masters Lodge # 244 F&AM and a 32nd degree Mason. He was also a 50 year member of the Scottish Rite.

Preceded in death by parents, Paul B. and Ruby R. Bruce.

Survivors: brother and sister-in-law, Gale and Donna Bruce of Chattanooga; sister, Dorcas Morgan of Knoxville; nieces, Leslie Ann Bruce of Nashville, Elaine Bruce and Valerie (Gerry) Gifford, both of Chattanooga; nephew, Walt (Suzanne) Morgan; great nieces, Abby and Sarah Morgan, all of Knoxville.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lincoln Park Baptist Church, 830 Chicamauga Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37917. Graveside services will be private. Friends may call at their convenience at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at North Broadway.
