Johnnie Floyd "Woddy" Elkins, 88, Fayetteville, died September 2 in a Fayetteville hospital. Born April 16, 1890 in Madison County, he was the son of Lash and Sarah Hensen Elkins, a member of the Baptist Church and a retired employee of Fayetteville Ice Company.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ollie Howell Elkins of the home; three sons, Wayne Elkins and Kenneth Elkins of Fayetteville, and Jerome Elkins of Freemont, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Roberta Cavanor of Sacramento, Calif.; one brother, Ovea Elkins of Fayetteville; two sisters, Mrs. Effie Brooks and Mrs. Kay Cole of Fayetteville; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Nelson Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
