Wilfred Chaput, 81, Langdon, died Sunday, February 22, 1998, in Cavalier County Memorial Hospital, Langdon. Wilfred Edward Chaput was born July 29, 1916, the son of Jules and Mary Louise (Beauchamp) Chaput, in Ferry Township, Cavalier County, North Dakota.
He attended school in Ferry Township and Langdon. He married Imelda Stevens on October 11, 1937, in Mount Carmel, North Dakota. They farmed in Perry and Loma Townships, Cavalier County. In 1971, he moved into Langdon. He retired from farming in 1974.
