John Wayne Brim, 59, a truck driver with Freehold Cartage, Inc., passed away Saturday, September 8, 2012 in Tallahassee, from injuries sustained in a traffic accident while trying to save the life of the other driver.
Born September 14, 1952, in Bainbridge, Georgia, he was a son of the late Benjamin Joe Brim, and Betty Brooks Brim, who survives.
He was an avid race fan, who loved street rods, the open roads and spending time with his grandbabies.
He is survived by his wife of almost 41 years, Martha Hollingsworth Brim; sons, William (Tracy) Brim, Jason Brim; grandchildren, Jessica, Joshua, Justin, Jayda; brothers, Ronnie (Becky) Brim, Sidney Brim; sisters, Susie (Eddie) Hernandez, Teresa (Ed) Self; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral is 11:00 AM Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Abbey Funeral Home, with interment at Tallahassee Memory Gardens.
