Folk Figure. She was the only child of composer Claude Debussy. She was the inspiration and dedicatee of his famous 1908 piano suite, "Children's Corner." A year after her father's death, Chouchou died from complications of diphtheria at 13. She was the subject of a 1995 French film, "Chouchou: Music of Love."
