Molly Elizabeth Vines Barnes and her son, Christopher Lee Barnes died as the result of traumatic injuries sustained in a tragic vehicular accident.

Molly Elizabeth Vines Barnes, age 54, of Gaylesville, Al. passed away Monday September 3, 2012 in Bartow County, Ga.

Molly was born June 27, 1958 in Floyd County a daughter of the late Leonard Vines and Audrey Carter Haney. She was a member of Enon Grove Baptist Church in Cedar Bluff. Molly was a graduate of West Rome High School Class of 1976, and Shorter College with a BS in Business Accounting, Jacksonville State University with a masters in early childhood Education. She was employed by Cherokee Board of Education as a Pre-K Teacher. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kristen Elizabeth Barnes, and son Christopher Barnes.

Survivors include her husband Lee Barnes to whom she was married June 10, 1978, daughter and son in law, Stephanie and Joey Weaver, Cedar Bluff; grandchild, Carter James Weaver, Cedar Bluff; brother and sister in law, Richard and Sherrie Vines, Michigan; step sister, Beth Simmons.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 P.M. (EST) Saturday September 8, 2012 in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, with Rev. Melvyn Salter, Dr. Gary Hardin, and Dr. Larry Draper, officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. The family will receives friends from 6 until 9 p.m. (EST) Friday September 7, 2012, at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.

Pallbearers include the following gentlemen and are asked to meet at the funeral by 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Ricky Womack, Lynn Busy, Nathan Thatcher, Adam Careaga, Henry Careaga, Mace Wilson, David Brookshire, and Boots Smith.

The family was serviced in their time of grief by Parnick Jenning's Good Shepherd Funeral Home.
