Galivants Ferry….Jimmy B. Best, age 82, husband of Estalean Rabon Best, passed away September 4, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Best was born in Horry County, a son of the late Beaty Best and the late Mamie McCracken Best. Mr. Best retired from East Coast Steel in 1990. He was predeceased by seven brothers, Henry, George, William, Wilbur, Larry, Joseph, Thurman Best, and three sisters, Lila B. Graham, Lula B. Martin, Baby Girl Best. Surviving Mr. Best in addition to his wife of the home is a son, Gerald Best of Lexington, SC, one granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Best also of Lexington, SC, one brother, Carl Best of Mullins, SC, two sisters, Ruth B. Hardwick of Loris, SC, Nellie B. Hammonds of Florence, SC, a special brother in law, J.D. Rabon of Loris, and two sister in laws, Clisby Matthews, of Hemingway, SC and Hazel Euler of Conway.
